Lagi pengen hot pudding, tapi maunya yang gampang hehe seperti biasa *males mode on*. Cobain yang ini ahh. Sekalian ngabisin breadcrumbs yang dah disimpen lama, walo blom dibuka sih. Hasilnya..hmm seperti makan bubur coklat yang dipadetin aja. Hehe ya iyalah..
Lumayanlah buat santai-santai di sore hari..*dasar ibu-ibu pengangguran*
Oya, you know what, itu lapisan kocokan putih telur diatasnya, setelah dikulkasin beberapa lama, akan menjadi lebih kenyal..dan menjadi seperti marshmallow gitu lho..apa marshmallow emang dibuat dari putih telur kocok yang dioven ya..? *hehe maapin, beneran ga tau ..*
Trus trus..di saat emaknya lagi buka lemari mo ambil tripod, Jasmine beraksi dengan bebasnya. Liat, itu pudding diacak-acak..hahaha..Jasmine’s finger print hehe..
Nih resepnya..
Chocolate Queen of Puddings
Source : ‘ What’s Cooking Chocolate’ book by Jacqueline Bellefontaine
Ingredients :
50 g / 1 ¾ oz dark chocolate
450 ml / 2 cups chocolate-flavoured milk
100 g / 1 ¾ cups fresh white or wholemeal (whole wheat) breadcrumbs
125 g / 2 cups caster (superfine) sugar
2 eggs, separated
4 tbsp black cherry jam
Directions :
Break the chocolate into small pieces and place in a saucepan with the chocolate-flavoured milk. Heat gently, stirring until the chocolate melts. Bring almost to the boil, then remove the pan from the heat.
Place the breadcrumbs in a large mixing bowl with 25 g / 5 tbsp of the sugar. Pour over the chocolate milk and mix well. Beat in the egg yolks.
Spoon into a 1.1 litre / 5 cup pie dish and bake in a preheated oven, 180º C / 350º F for 25 – 30 minutes or until set and firm to the touch.
Whisk the egg whites in a large grease-free bowl until standing in soft peaks. Gradually whisk in the remaining caster (superfine) sugar and whisk until you have a glossy, thick meringue.
Spread the black cherry jam over the surface of the chocolate mixture and pile or pipe the meringue on top. Return the pudding to the oven for about 15 minures or until the meringue is crisp and golden.
Variation :
If you prefer, add 40 g / ½ cup desiccated (shredded) coconut to the breadcrumbs and omit the jam.
