Hot Mocha Rum Shouffle

Gud morning eperibodih..senang sekalii bisa ngeblog lagee hehe..

Ditinggal selama seminggu untuk liburan ke Singapore dan Kuala Lumpur, bersama Mba Dona dan Jeng Nana, tentu bersama keluarga masing-masing.

Oooo baru tauuuu, ternyata beraattt ya liburan seminggu dengan anak 1 tahun 8 bulan, yang sedang lincah-lincahnya, sibuk lari kesana-kemari, ga mau dipegangin..tanpa membawa babysitter. Ampe sakit pinggang hahaha..maklum deh, emang gue bermasalah dengan tulang punggung. Duh duh..tapi jadi berkesan sekali. Hehehehe ..

Naaah mo laporan ini dulu deehhh..

Nyobain bikin shouffle, tapi karena diameter cup dibagian atas lebih besar dibanding tengah/bawah, jadi ga gue penuhin, takut luber kmana-mana. Shouffle yang gue sering liat biasanya permukaannya rata, ga merekah seperti shouffle yang ini. Tapi kalo ngeliat photo di bukunya, emang bgini sih, tapi yaa ga terlalu merekah gitu.

Nah untuk antisipasi luberannya, cup gue beri dinding dari kertas roti. Prosedur yang biasanya dilakukan kalo membuat shouffle.

Buat gue, hasilnya terlalu pahit, kurang manis:-)

Hot Mocha Rum Souffles

These light-as-air individual souffles, flavoured with cocoa and coffee, are ideal for serving after a fairly substantial main course.’

Serves 6

25g / 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
65g / 9 tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
75g / 6 tbsp caster (superfine) sugar
60ml / 4 tbsp made-up strong black coffee
30ml / 2 tbsp dark rum
6 egg whites
Icing (confectioners’) sugar, for dusting

1. Preheat the oven to 190°C / 375°F. Grease six 250ml/1 cup souffle dishes with melted butter.
2. Mix 15ml/1 tbsp of the cocoa with 15ml/1 tbsp of the caster sugar in a bowl. Sprinkle the mixture into each of the dishes in turn, rotating them so that they are evenly coated.


3. Mix the remaining cocoa with the coffee and rum in a medium bowl.
4. Whisk the egg whites in a clean, grease-free bowl until they form firm peaks. Whisk in the remaining sugar. Stir a generous spoonful of the egg whites into the cocoa mixture to lighten it, then fold in the remaining whites.
5. Spoon the mixture into the prepared dishes, smoothing the tops. Place on a hot baking sheet, and bake for 12-15 minutes or until well risen. Serve immediately, dusted with icing sugar.

Cook’s Tip.
You can use either a hand or an electric version to beat the egg whites, but take care not to overbeat with the electric beaters. The whites should stand in soft peaks, with the tips gently flopping over. Overbeaten eggs will look dry.

    Asyiknya yang baru pulang berlibur. Akhirnya jadi juga kesana. Ayooo..tulis dong perjalanannya. Ngeborong peralatan kue/buku gak di Singapore?

    Mba Esti, ngeborong sih ngga, tp beli juga sih bbrp.Rada kalap di Ikea, sayang byk dilarang ama hubby soale berat jeh,bawanya setengah mati hehe..murah2 n lucu2..buku2 sih jelas, bawanya juga setengahy mati hehehe..

    Anne, bener2 rajin deh kamu ini. oh ya kalau mau belajar photoshop aku sih waktu itu beli video tutorial dasar nya di ITC, mayan jelas:) selebihnya utak atik yah.
